This roll of coal miners for the townships of Denton and Haughton has been extracted from the parish records of Haughton Green Methodist Church (formerly Haughton Green Wesleyan Chapel). Unless stated otherwise, the men were all coal miners, that is, they were hewers of coal working underground.
